Apple & Pear Sugar Cookies

In keeping with the theme for this Christmas's cookies boxes I am making apple and pear decorated sugar cookies. I had a cookie cutter for the apple in a size I liked but it isn't the best shape. I wanted something more sophisticated. So I did some shopping at all the likely suspects to find a pear and an apple that were similar in size and shapyness. No
such luck. I remembered that I had a "make
Make your own cookie cutters kit
your own cookie cutter" kit in my stash that
I had bought years ago. So I dug that out, and
using the patterns from the honeycomb ornament, made my own cookie cutters. The apple is approx. 4" tall by 3.5" wide and the pear is approx. 5" tall by 3" wide.

So here they are all finished. I added a step - using my
Dremel, I smoothed the seams where they join. You can see that I don't have any jagged mark on the cutout cookies from where the seams meet -

I roll my No Fail Sugar Cookies out right in my silicone baking sheet so you see the flour, etc...
